Background

In 2007, our founder Fatih Eke discovered the nutritional and health benefits of black cumin seeds. After many years of work to look at how to bring this product to market, in 2015, Nwork was established with the express aim of distributing this superfood worldwide.

From Turkey, the business gained huge market share across Central Asia, and is now working to expand its services globally.

In 2021, we started work to integrate blockchain into the business to ensure supply chain provenance.

At the beginning of 2024, we established the Nigella ecosystem with the launch of Nigella Chain, Nigella Explorer, Nigella Wallet, and Nigella Stake. Our first round of products to utilise blockchain technology. We have also completed software development of a range of new products including Nigella Pay, and many more that we plan to bring to the market in the coming months.
